Tearoom

Take a break from your tour and relax in the spacious Royal Pavilion Tearoom on the upper floor, with its sunny balcony (open in the warmer months) overlooking the glorious restored Royal Pavilion gardens. There is a wide choice of menu options, many with a traditional English twist, and all using fresh locally produced Sussex ingredients where possible. Treat yourself to a glass of local English wine or a Sussex beer or cider.

  • traditional snacks such as Welsh Rarebit on Toast and Scrambled Egg and Smoked Salmon
  • a range of sandwiches from the Great Kitchen, deep filled and served with savoury snacks and salad garnish
  • classic English puddings such as Spiced Ginger Bread and Butter Pudding, Apple Rum and Raisin Crumble and Pavilion Mess (our own version of classic ‘British Eton Mess’)
  • British Cream Teas including a Royal Pavilion Tea with smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches and even a Cream Tea with some fizz! - with two glasses of sparkling wine
  • the Great Kitchen cakes menu including flapjacks, fruitcakes, sponges and pies plus a range of hot and cold drinks and other light snacks
