New archive centre The Keep opens on Tuesday 19 November 2013

Are you interested in the history and culture of Sussex? Or maybe your own family history? Do you want to find out more about people living in Sussex including artists and writers such as Eric Ravilious, Rudyard Kipling, Virginia Woolf and many more?

The documents and records, newspaper archives, photographs, diaries, maps and books held at The Keep can help you find out more.

East Sussex County Council, Brighton & Hove City Council and the University of Sussex have brought together their outstanding collections and archives for the first time in this state of the art new building.

Located in Moulsecoomb near the Falmer university sites, The Keep will give easy access to millions of records dating back to 1100 right up to the present day.

The resources and services previously available at Brighton History Centre will be located at The Keep.
